Surf manía
Los amantes del surf y de la pesca seguramente encontrarán interesante el río Paraná, en América del Sur. Otra idea interesante para cabalgar la ola puede ser también en Brasil, donde encontramos algunas de las mejores playas para hacer surf; Brasil cuenta también con ríos importantes que encuentran las aguas del mar generando grandes olas.
Las mayores olas del mundo y las más grandes registradas las encontramos, en cambio, en el río Amazonas, entre febrero y marzo. Pueden alcanzar hasta los 4 metros y recorrer hasta los 17 km/hora. Esta ola se llama “pororoca” por el gran ruido que hace y que se puede oír hasta media hora antes de que llegue. Pero aquí es un poco peligroso, sea por la presencia de pirañas que porque la ola arrastra troncos y árboles que podrían aplastar al surfista.
Pero hay quien busca siempre emociones distintas y prefiere surfear en el glaciar de Alaska, aquí las olas se forman cuando se desprenden los trozos de hielo, y son bastante sorprendentes.
Mientras quien al frío prefiere el calor puede surfear en un volcán, es el caso del volcán Cerro Negro, en Nicaragua. Las personas se deslizan por una pendiente de más de 500 metros de ceniza volcánica y pueden alcanzar una velocidad de hasta unos 80 km/h. Hay quien surfea como en el mar y quien en cambio prefiere sentarse en la tabla.

We make Technical clothing for surfers to keep them warm and dry before and
after a session. We have Carlos Burle, a world-class big-wave surfer, Ian
Battrick and Al Mackinnon amongst our ambassadors and we recently won the
Surfers Path Green Wave award, but Finisterre is still relatively small.
We’d prefer to get in touch and work with other people doing similar things,
rather than blow thousands on glossy ads, so we wondered if you would be
